After we got a look at Toni Kukoc s PEs, it appears that the 2006-2007 releases of the Air Jordan V Fire Red and Black/Metallic were issued by Jordan Brand to its roster of NBA representatives with personalized jersey-number stitching on the heel. Fred air jordan 9 retro Jones, one of Jordan Brand s ambassadors, wore this Home and Away set while he was hooping for the Toronto Raptors, but there s actually another set out there with his 0 jersey number (when he was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers). With the Fire Red already confirmed for a 2013 release, will we see the return of more Player Exclusives done in this manner? Check out the gallery of the Fire Red and Metallic Silver joints below and cop em for your own collection from cnoriega_2007 on eBay.
Don t let this Saturday s releases catch you by surprise, because Jordan Brand s got a hefty roll-out of products waitin for ya. In addition to the OG White/Red Air Jordan IV, the Jumpman label will re-introduced the J2K capsule in two Air Jordan VII colorways and an Air Jordan 1; the J2K construction is comprised of a triangular patchwork of materials, akin to Nike s green Trash Talk releases part of its Considered series. The two Air Jordan VII colorways (the Filbert and the Obsidian ) will retail for $175 a piece, while the Air Jordan 1 will cost you $135, so expect all three at select Jordan Brand retailers such as west this coming Saturday. The Light Graphite release of the Air Jordan XIV last Holiday 2011 season could ve been much different than expected just peep this unreleased sample of the Air Jordan XIV here. While the sample features the same grey upper, the outsole is a mix of black and white, which could be viewed as a better fit considering the Air Jordan XIV s design roots in Michael s Ferrari. In fact, the air jordan 10 outsole and heel of the Air Jordan XIV were originally scribed to mimic a racing tire a concept only emphasized when black rubber outsoles are used but the switch to White isn t much to scoff at. Another interesting note is that the sample tag lining the interior of the shoe designates this a Collezione sample; did Jordan Brand pass on another Collezione-style release in 2011? We ve got a gallery of images below so check out the unreleased Air Jordan sample below and see what the final selling price was by hitting up the auction from oregonsole on eBay.
